Almighty God, unto whom all hearts be open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid;...

I am the Almighty God, walk before me, and be thou perfect. Gen. xvii. 1    I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. Job. xlii. 2  Thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men.  1 Kings viii. 39    Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my groaning is not hid from thee. ...Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit,...

There is a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.  Job xxxii. 8    Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts.  Matt. xv. 19    Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.   James iv. 8    Who can say, I have made my heart clean ?  Prov. xx. 9    Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin: Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me: cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy Holy Spirit from me: restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free Spirit. Psal. li. 2. 10, 11, 12    Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts; and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.  Psal. cxxxix. 23, 24 - see also, Heb. x. 22 - 1 Cor. iii. 3
