Over the last few years, the Mens' Group of St. Peter's Cathedral has met quite frequently, but not at regularly scheduled times. The meetings have had a strong 'social' and 'fellowship' component. One of the main purposes of the group is to be of service and assistance to the parish as a whole.
Over the last few years, the Men's Group has assisted the
ladies of the Binney Group with various church suppers and other projects,
assisted the youth groups, assisted with brass polishing, and with numerous
other projects. In additon, the group has sponsored several events
of its own, some of a fund-raising nature, or for the promotion of fellowship
for the entire parish. During the last half of 2006, the group became inactive, and no meetings were held. We are hoping, as of March 2007, to get the group activated once again. A planning meeting was held on March 17, and numerous ideas and suggestions were put forward. Watch for information here, as it becomes available, about Men's Group activities and projects during 2007.
