For many years our Branch has sponsored a regular series of public lectures entitled "Prayer Book Society Institutes". These lectures, which are open to the general public free-of-charge, are conducted by both clergy and lay persons, on a variety of topics all related to aspects of the Christian life. Our Institutes are generally held on chosen Saturdays at St. George's (Round) Church, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. They generally begin with coffee at 11:30 a.m., with the first address at 12 noon, lunch at 12:45 p.m., a second address at 1:15 p.m., and concluding with Evening Prayer by 2 p.m. Each session includes plenty of time for questions and discussion. Participants are asked to bring a brown-bag lunch, while coffee and tea and some snacks are provided. Click here for directions to St. George's There are no upcoming institutes currently scheduled.
