ST. PETER'S CATHEDRAL IS STRONG IN...

WORSHIP
The heart of St. Peter's Cathedral is in its eucharistic worship. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated each Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.   (10 a.m. in the summer months).   On weekdays, the Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 7:30 a.m. (Tuesdays) and 10 a.m. (Wednesday to Saturday). The Book of Common Prayer is used in the worship to enable the people to participate, and to make sure that everything that is said and heard in the service is drawn from and faithful to Holy Scripture.

PRAYER
Morning and Evening Prayer (Matins and Evensong) are said daily in All Souls' Chapel. Morning Prayer is said 15 minutes before Mass (see above), Evening Prayer at 5 p.m. on weekdays, 6 p.m. on Sundays. The Chapel is open every day for personal prayer and meditation.

CHRISTIAN INSTRUCTION
The Church School meets Sundays at 10:00 a.m. (September to June). At certain times throughout the year, a Bible Study Group meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m., and the Theological Issues Discussion group meets on an occasional basis to discuss challenging and thought-provoking issues.

MINISTRY
The sacraments of Holy Baptism, Confirmation, Matrimony, Penance (sacramental Confession and Absolution) and Anointing of the Sick (Unction), as well as pastoral counselling, and home, hospital and prison visiting are all part of the ministry offered from the Cathedral. At the time of death, the burial services of the Church are a source of both comfort and hope.

CHURCH MUSIC
St. Peter's Cathedral has one of the best liturgical choirs in Canada. Members of the choir meet for choir practice on Wednesday evenings. On major festivals and holy days, choir members hold a parish social event (party) following Solemn Evensong and Benediction.

SERVICE
Servers' Guild, Altar Guild, Youth Group, Men's Association, Inglis Group (A.C.W.) and Binney Group (A.C.W.) organize members to be active in the life of our cathedral parish and to serve the community.
